Automotive Systems Technology
Gwinnett Tech’s Automotive Technology program is accredited by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation, Inc./Automotive Service Excellence (ASE-NATEF). Our General Automotive program is pleased to offer the Nissan Technician Training Academy (NTTA) program for future Nissan and Infiniti technicians. Students who want specialized training in Nissan and Infiniti vehicles can do so by enrolling in the General Automotive program at the diploma level and expressing this intention during training. Program classes are scheduled during the day or evening at our Lawrenceville campus, and students can begin the program in the fall or spring.

Students enrolled in the Automotive Technology program will become automotive service technicians and mechanics, often referred to as service technicians or service technicians, who inspect, maintain, and repair cars and light trucks. Courses are designed to prepare students to handle basic mechanical components such as engines, transmissions and driver belts, as well as an increasing number of electronic systems and other fuels such as ethanol and electricity. Students enrolled in the NissanĀ® Technical Training Academy train in Nissan and InfinitiĀ® vehicles during laboratory experiments using Nissan-specific equipment, machinery and technical information. Credits for actual technician training can also be obtained for certain Nissan specific courses by completing approved courses at program of the General Automotive curriculum.
