Guardians Of The Galaxy Toys – Between the New York Toy Fair and the various comics, I think I will have a complete picture of the Marvel toys that Hasbro has released in a year. But today I was surprised by a whole line of animations that I had never heard of: the Guardians of the Galaxy line of animated films went up for sale online! And believe it or not, the team is complete with all members – including Drax and Gamora…

Guardians Of The Galaxy Toys
Here’s what I can conclude from these pictures: Hasbro has released a new line of action figures based on the comic book Guardians of the Galaxy, which will be seen with five six-inch figures (including this GOTG branch) with minimal menus. 7 points of articulation per person (head, shoulders, elbows, hips).

Although this line of small toys is aimed at children, I think the Animated Rocket Raccoon figure is the best seller. I think his wild headshot and detailed weapon look awesome!
Rocket comes with a miniature Potted Baby Groot figure with nice details of “I Am Groot” molded into the pot, but without the Baby Groot paint. Bah.
… And speaking of Groot, the series also featured an animated “parent” Groot figure! Unlike Baby Groot, the adult Groot action figure has deco paint on his face and growing vines.
Instead of giving us an undersized Groot, limited by the size of the box, Hasbro has attached Groot with his legs separated and directed the page to a series of legs. As a result, Groot can rise above his teammates and become almost an artist!
Marvel Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 Action Figure With Vehicle, Superhero Toys For Kids
Drax comes with a couple of good looking knives and maybe a little bit more, and he has beautiful tattoos painted on his body. Drax looks good overall.
Peter Quill, Star-Lord, is the fourth entry in the Guardians of the Galaxy animated series! He carries two plaster casts and functional holsters to hold them both.
Unfortunately, I think this Star-Lord Animated figure is probably the worst in the set. The large knots on his thighs looked silly, like unpainted weapons. I don’t believe that kids would actually like (or collect) a masked Star-Lord figure.
Finally, we have the biggest surprise of the series: Gamora! Hasbro never fails to include women in their kid-centric line, so I’m very excited to see the Animated Gamora coming here.

I think Gamora’s hair needs to be dyed a little more purple, and maybe she could use some new makeup around her eyes, but at least Hasbro remembered to give her deadly sword and wears three different colors on his belt. It’s not the best Gamora movie, but it’s not the worst either.
You can find Guardians of the Galaxy Animated toys for sale on Amazon right now, as all five figures are sold out. I haven’t found any of these styles in local stores or anywhere else online, but let me know if you’ve had more success than mine!
