It’s easy to forget to take a break while you’re at work. Planning breaks allows you to take a step back and take your mind off what’s stressing you out.
Remember to make time for yourself during the day. A few minutes away from your desk, office, etc. can help clear your head and energize you. When you return, you will be more productive and energetic.
Make sure you eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables and water. Regular meals, healthy snacks, and water can help reduce the temptation to make unhealthy choices at work. A balanced diet will help you be more energetic throughout the day and prevent afternoon slump.
Setting boundaries for work-life balance is a difficult but necessary task. It’s easy to feel the pressure of 24/7 availability, especially if you’re working remotely. Limit settings can vary from person to person. For starters, it’s a good idea to make it a rule not to check email from home at night and not answer the phone during dinner.
Protect Your Brain From Stress
Try to get at least 8 hours of sleep every night if possible. If you’re having trouble sleeping, it’s a good idea to start by limiting your caffeine intake in the afternoon.
The American Nurses Association Code of Ethics states that nurses should also engage in self-care. Seven people are required to practice self-care nurses, according to the ANA. Exercise is a great way to relieve stress. Physical activity boosts endorphins and helps improve mood and well-being.
You don’t have to go to the gym to get these benefits. Start slowly with a 30-minute walk around your neighborhood or work on raising your endorphins.

Breaking down tasks into smaller, more manageable tasks makes them less complex. Try to make a checklist of all your tasks for the day. By breaking down large tasks into smaller ones, it is easier to see the big picture.
